What cuisine does kann serve?

We are a Haitian, live fire restaurant that celebrates PNW ingredients.

Does kann serve a set menu?

Our menu is served family style, offering both smaller and larger plates meant for an interactive, shared dining experience at the table. Everything is a la carte with no set menu.

Does kann accommodate dietary distinctions?

Our entire menu is gluten and dairy free. We also offer a vegan menu upon request. Alliums, Capsaicin, and Cilantro are heavily featured in most of our food, so we are unable to offer substitutions.

Can Kann accommodate adding another seat to a table?

We cannot accommodate adding a seat to a table. For example,  if you have a reservation for 2 guests, we cannot add a third seat. If you have a reservation for 4 guests, we cannot add a fifth seat. If you have a reservation for 6 guests, we cannot add a seventh seat.

Do you have a Service Charge?

For parties consisting of 5 or more guests, a service charge of 22% will be automatically added to the final bill. This service charge serves multiple purposes: it directly contributes to supporting fair wages for our dedicated staff members and helps offset the overall operational costs of the restaurant. If you would like to show additional appreciation through a tip, please be assured that any additional gratuity provided will be only distributed equally among our hourly team members. 

How many guests can be seated per reservation?

Tables in our main dining room accommodate up to 6 guests.

Does kann host private events?

Can you book two separate reservations and combine the tables for a large party reservation?

We cannot accommodate the combination of reservations to seat large Parties.

Time for your dining experience?

Your table will be reserved for 1 hour 45 minutes for parties of up to four guests and  2 hours and 30 minutes for parties of up to six guests.

Is parking available near the restaurant?

Street parking is available on several nearby streets.

Does kann allow photography or the creation of videos while dining?

We do have a policy in place that prohibits photographing members of the team without their consent and thank you in advance for prioritizing their safety and privacy.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our seating is limited, we ask for at least 24-hours notice to cancel a reservation. Canceling less than 24-hours prior to your reservation may incur a $50/per person fee. All cancellations must be completed through your Resy app or site. We do not handle cancellations via phone call, email request or Instagram messages. 

Can I decrease my party size?

Although we understand that plans change, if you cannot honor your reservation, you must cancel that reservation through Resy at least 24 hours before the seating time. We apply this policy to individual guests per party, if the party were to decrease in size, they may do so with the party limit. For a table of 6, you may decrease to 5. For a table of 4, you may decrease to 3. For a table of 2, you may decrease to 1. If you decrease more than the table size, for example - you reserve for a table of 6 and decrease to 2 - you will be charged $50 a person for up to 6 guests.

Is there a dress code for the restaurant?

We do not have a required dress code, but most guests opt for business casual attire. Vibrant colors and prints are encouraged.

Are walk-ins welcome or is kann reservation only?

We highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time via RESY. We have limited walk-in seats available.

Does kann offer take out or call ahead orders?

Kann is a dine-in only restaurant.

Are children allowed at the restaurant?

Children are welcome. They are required to be considered a guest when making the reservation. 

Does kann offer gift certificates?

We do not offer purchasing gift certificates at the restaurant or process gift certificate requests through email. Please visit our partner InKind https://inkind.com/

Can I purchase a copy of Everyone's Table cookbook at the restaurant?

Yes. We sell limited quantities of signed cookbooks at the restaurant. If you do not have a reservation with us, a host will be able to assist you with a book purchase.

How do you make a reservation at kann?

All reservation requests are booked through our partner Resy https://resy.com/cities/pdx/kann. We release one calendar month of reservations on the 1st of each month at 12pm PDT of the month prior. For example, March reservations will be released on February 1st at 12pm PDT. If you click on the date, number of guests and time and do not see availability, please hit the notify button and when we have a cancellation, Resy will notify you for your request. We do not handle reservation requests via phone, email or Instagram messages. We ask for your patience when reservations are released - they can take up to 30 mins to load the entire month.
